Made a 3:30 appointment for NYS inspection weeks ago for today. Arrived 10 minutes early and waited till 4:10 until they took my car in. While waiting 2 people are picking up their cars and the woman (Crystal?) at front desk is trying to "upsell" them both and then after 20 minutes comes out with my car invoice and said we replaced a windshield wiper so that will be $31.00 plus installation fee. I said you should have let me know before installing a new wiper. She said it wouldn't have passed inspection. I said that would be... read more
2 places told me I couldn't plug my tire that was leaking hard and I'd have to leave the car overnight. I wanted to try one more place so I hurried over to Monro on a bad leak. Monro saved my new tire, pulled a lag bolt out of all things, and plugged it. I've been running fine on it since. All for $38. Recommend
Had tires rotated. Went to change my brakes and couldn't get the lug nuts off. Over 130 pounds of pressure used to get them off and broke a 4 ways lug wrench in half. They DO NOT torque the nuts properly. Also beware they will not always use the proper oil grade for your car. I will avoid this place from now on.
