We took the vehicle in for a noise in the brakes and an oil change. They called and said it needed front and rear brakes and rotors. The estimate was $2,277.80. I said we would need to discuss this.They called a harassed us 5 times want authorization for the repair. We took it somewhere else and the brakes passed the pa inspection. It needed a tirefor the inspection and that was it. Scaring people to thinking they need repairs when they really don't. Not a good way to do business. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!

Would be Zero stars if it was an option. I dropped a vehicle off for an oil change, and a noise in the brakes. They called and told me I needed front and rear brakes, rotors, (2) front tires and the oil change. Their estimate was $2,277.80. With the price being so expensive, I decided to get a 2nd estimate. I have been a New Kensington Monro customer for decades, however, I think I will be looking for a new service center. The oil, tire & alignment service was not the problem, when I picked up my car someone had smoked in it and it smelled awful. I am very sensitive to smells and I drove home with all the windows open, but the smell still prevails. I phoned the service center to let them know of the issue and was I told firmly that I was mistaken, no one smoked in my car - as if I had imagined it! That was too much for me! Very... read more
They lack customer service skills. They treat you like you’re nothing. If you don’t want to pay their prices I had to go back four times and they still didn’t pass me for inspection. They’re just quite rude snobby attitude. I wouldn’t recommend it.
