monro is satan. Monro is horrible. they hammered at my brake ( i saw them) until it broke off and then failed me for my inspection and told me to pay over 300 to fix it. it is sad that they are such a big name, and mr.tire & other known names are all affiliated with each other.. no choice except to go to a small independent shop.
Scammers I took my car in last year to get my wipers fixed. During the repair the mechanic called me and said my engine is going and I would have to pay $1000 if I wanted it fixed. I refused so when I went to pick it up, he told me he'd mark it down to $600 if I did it right away. I refused. One year later, my car is fine but the wipers he put on came off. The Worst ever!!!!!!!! They are the worst rude scammers staff. i had an oil change for 40 despite a coupon for 20!!! then they did a "free" tire rotation 2 minutes after driving my whole tire burst
place to fix your car the maintainance of a car is very expensive.you can easily spend hundreds of buck on an old car without noticing any main changes. monro is very competitive in this aspect. the best of all is that they do sacrufice the quality. they really tell you where the problem is and ask for your decisions. and i think their suggestion is very humane and just for the bussiness but also for you the customer. PROS: price, speed CONS: not well-known
The Worst. Absolutely horrible service. I made an appointment over the phone, yet it still took them 45 min. to even get my car into the shop after I arrived. Very poor time estimates given, didn't have wheel lock key for the car I have, rude people over all. Sold me tires that he did not actually have in the shop. when I asked how much longer this will take the manager told me "fixing cars takes time, its not instant gratification like pressing a button on the internet". Monro Muffler in Ohio The Monro Muffler/Mr Tire stores in Ohio are no different than in New York. Their prices are too high, their employees are rude, and the service is poor. What bothers me most, is that they allow access to customers personal information to all employees, including numerous convicted felons that they employ (one at least, who was convicted for sex crimes against children). Quick Service I needed my muffler replaced and had previously purchased this muffler from this company. They replaced the muffler with no charge since the previous muffler had a lifetime guarantee on it. The service was very quick but the staff was not the most friendly. Either way my muffler was fixed quickly and correctly since I never had another problem.
DO NOT GO HERE Had the same problem with the Monro shop in St. Clairsville, OH. They told me my engine had a rod knocking and refused to listen to me when I told them it was a bearing in the compressor. I had gone in because my muffler/resonator were less than a year old and had worked loose and made my car sound loud. They refused to fix the problem with the exhaust, as "I needed a new car". A trip to a local one man garage fixed the compressor and the knocking sound is gone. They don't know what they're doing but act like ... read more
