Purchased a used, as is, 1999 MercedesBenz c230 Kompressor. (Love this car) It was correctly advertised "without AC and non working power seats". Is this car perfect (no) but it's not a new car. We bought it cause we like the w203 body styling of the Mercedes. Manona Auto supplied the carfax with all history good and bad. They also included repair invoices going back a dozen plus years (not common). Test drove nice, so we bought it and drove it home (3hr away). I found a camper on Craigslist posted at this dealer. Living 3 hours away, I callled and asked for more details. The salesman was extremely honest upfront, and disclosed that they had found more wear and tear than they initially saw when it was posted. He offered to send me some pics of these areas, and told me they were willing to take $1500 less than the advertised price. The next day he sent me the pics, with descriptions of said areas. Here to do my part. Was sold a car "as is" which is the reason he doesn't stand behind what he sells after he sells it. Had the visor fall in my lap as I was driving few months later, obvious covering up of a major collision on the vehicle (scrapes painted over from side swipe and fender literally glued back on like cheap furniture). His brother does the detailing job and there were stains all over under the seats, gross stuff. The air bag power was spliced into the cigarette lighter. Big safety concern.
