We had a wonderful, relaxing time during our stay. The staff was very welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was far better than we anticipated. The waitress that took care of guests in the Garden dining area was super friendly and made everyone in the room feel welcome. While we didn’t have a chance to have dinner at the 1818 Restaurant, we did meet the chef and he was so friendly and caring that we will be making dinner reservations the next time we visit. What an incredible weekend!!! If you ever find yourself in Natchez and you are uncertain of where to stay, give Monmouth a chance. My husband and I just stayed in Room 40 which was named Live Oak. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our deluxe king room was actually more of an apartment (minus a kitchen). There were no mini fridges, microwaves or coffee makers but don’t let this deter you from enjoying the impeccable atmosphere. We stayed inside the mansion so that's the only experience that I had. There are also rooms in buildings outside of the main house. The rooms were authentic bedrooms decorated in the time period and we were free to explore the house as it was our own place.
My partner and I were in Natchez for the weekend, and it was an amazing experience, a very historic clean place that features a good restaurant named 1818, and the breakfast is also good quality.. we enjoyed walking around the facility and snapping some pictures. I can't wait to come back here next time we're in town!
Stayed here during ice storm in late Jan. They went out of their way to make sure we we taken care of in every way. Thanks to Michael for making things right. Room 25 an Antebellum suite was especially nice and large with 2 rooms. Couldn't think of a better place to be stuck in an ice storm.
