My husband retained Mr. Monk for a criminal case. Mr. Monk failed to finish this case, his lack of communication with his clients is non-existing. He makes promises that he can't keep. In one of our conversations, he indicated that he was busy but sorry he hadn't reached out to my husband nor me. To my dismay he promised to finish up by filing a motion and that he would call once this was done, this was May 1, 2019, we still haven't heard from Mr. Monk. Pat Monk contacted me about redesigning his firm's website. First question he asked was whether I was "one of those California Liberals". I'm not, but I thought the question was extremely unprofessional, and I knew I certainly didn't want to do business with him, so I told him so in polite but direct terms. He responded with an insulting, profanity-laced email and then filed a complaint with my email provider, even though he was the one who emailed me.
