We had a long wait but were informed of this when we arrived and kept up-to-date on our progress in the queue. As well, a nurse saw us straight away and about an hour in. The doctor was patient and great with my son. Great facilities and a calm environment.
Really disappointed with the experience at Monash Children’s Urgent Care last night. My son tested positive for flu A at home and has a history of serious pneumonia. I asked for Tamiflu, Dr Uchenna Nwankwo didn’t want to prescribe it at first, but ended up doing it. What concerned me the most was that Dr Nwankwo did not ask for my son’s weight before prescribing the medication, nor did he suggest weighing him. I visited the Monash Children's Urgent Care Clinic twice over the weekend with my 4-year-old daughter, who was experiencing a high fever and acute pain in her left ear. On our first visit (Friday night), we were told that there was nothing wrong. When her symptoms persisted and she was still in pain and unable to sleep, we returned the following day. I drove good 20 mins to reach for my son’s appointment and I was told there is a wait of an hour and a half! I’d appreciated a call / sms or whatever notification before the appointment.
