We are very happy with Monaco Construction and the sunroom extension they built for us. They removed the original deck and stairs, and in its place constructed a 4-season sunroom, which included insulated windows, skylights, and a dual AC/Heat wall unit. Sean met with us to review our initial designs and photos of other sunrooms we liked. Sean and his team built us the most beautiful sunroom playroom. It is my favorite room in the house. The project was affordable and efficient. We ran into issues several times with the AC unit, but Sean addressed them.

We hired Sean and Monaco for an addition to our home in 2023/2024 and were very pleased with the work and especially with Sean’s attentive oversight and great communication. We did run into some major problems during the project, but each one we were able to address and resolve and ultimately are so happy with our addition. There were minimal delays and we were able to stay more or less on budget. We would hire him again for other projects.

AVOID - Poor quality work and project abandonment Hired for major renovation in Cary. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I hired Monaco Construction LLC (Sean Phillips) for a major renovation in Cary including kitchen expansion, bathroom addition, and exterior work. While initially responsive during quoting and eager to collect deposit, the project quickly became problematic. Currently Sean Phillips is unresponsive and MIA, (update after 6 months of silence Sean replied to a BBB complaint that ”I am not returning to work”.)
