Judy and I were on our way home from Whitehall when she experienced a severe nose bleed. The bleed was so severe that blood was pumping with every heart beat. We immediately turned around in Enterprise and headed for Fairmont Neighborhood Emergency Hospital in Middletown Commons. She was treated by Nurse Practitioner Josh Long and staff. If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife came in with really bad headaches and numbness on her left side of the body. We sat there for hours, no pain meds or even a nurse call button. Ran a few tests and had horrible bedside care. They planned to transfer to Morgantown and wanted to do an mri because their machine only operates on the weekdays. Tried to force us to take an ambulance up to Morgantown when we refused. Multiples doctors were okay with us driving up there but they just kept asking new people and not giving us an... read more

I visited the neighborhood hospital ER after hearing they don’t mess around - you are taken back almost immediately. Well. That was the only thing good about my visit. So what … the care I was given was horrible! I went in with a Very bad sore throat- after a male nurse sticking a swab down my throat without any for warning or of what it was for he walked out- 45 minutes later I walked down the hall to see what was going on the ‘doctor’ came back into my room- I asked if I was going to be treated - shot or antibiotics..?? My husband, a dialysis patient, was suffering X 24 hours from what "could be bowel obstruction" per his dialysis team. After he finished his tx yesterday morning he was encouraged to seek a scan of his abdomen. We drove right on past our local ER, choosing the smaller Mon Health Marion County Neighborhood Hospital. In our case, it lived up to what we had been told from other professionals. We had easy handicapped parking, and were greeted promptly at 11:30 am.
