I have been coming here since they opened. Consistent, fresh, and earthy Japanese food with a great energy and staff. Always a good go too at any time of the year. My favorites are: - The scallop hand roll- or any hand roll - Miso soup - Any sushi dish - The veggie curry ramen. This place has the same earthy-woodsy-sushi energy as blue ribbon sushi on Sullivan Street. Delicious and grounding Japanese food.
Pros: Lovely place, the sushi is delicious, they have solid happy hour deals and interesting specials on offer. Cons: The service. We arrived shortly after they opened (around 5:30pm, they open at 5), there were a few patrons there already and it wasn’t too busy. We realized only after we had ordered that there was a happy hour menu we weren’t given by our waiter!
