I went in with a nasal infection back in late 2019 that I should of taken care of sooner . They prescribed me medicine but the infection and nasal problems have never went away fully. I feel like it should not take almost 2 years for this too resolve. I get a bad vibe almost like they are not prescribing me the right medicine! I have decided to look elsewhere for help and look for a air purifier. I feel like I am wasting my time and I feel like they are trying to scam me especially when they suggested nasal surgery. He is very thorough takes his time to explain. Listen to you. I didn’t feel rushed and he was very nice. His office staff was awesome, they were very helpful and did not feel like I was putting them out if I asked a question. I would highly recommend Dr Akabar and his office staff to anyone of friends
Dr. Akbar is amazing- he addresses all concerns quickly and efficiently and follows up. He also has amazing communication with patients and is able to put them at ease with well-timed light jokes, which is especially useful for children. He explains the problem and solution well and addresses every concern. He also takes time to get to know the patient and their background outside of their medical problem- it's very humanizing. Dr. Akbar's treatment has made all the difference in my life!
Excellent staff, willing to assist feel confident in their care
My 3 year old daughter had to get her tonsils and adenoids removed because of the breathing issues they were causing. As a mother and a nurse I can tell I made the best decision by choosing Dr. Akbar to perform her surgery. Very thorough, experienced and overall excellent surgeon.
I never had the need to go to an ENT before, but I punctured my eardrum and my family doctor sent me to Dr. Akbar. From my very first visit, he made me feel comfortable. He did surgery to repair my eardrum with a paper patch and I even spoke directly to him the day after! He is very easy going, takes his time to answer any questions and has a very good "bedside manner". And he is always smiling, which makes me feel at ease.
Very friendly and takes the time to explain my disease in terms I am able to understand. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years and he truly is an amazing doctor who goes above and beyond for his patients.
Doesn't listen to patient at all
Very educated, coherent and professional. Half my relatives go to him and experience tremendous results- he's a great man.
