I would not recommend Dr. Mohamed Elhassan based on my experience. I was referred to him because I have thyroid nodules that require a biopsy. I also have a previous diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. During my appointment, he told me that Hashimoto's is often misdiagnosed. When I shared that I had started following a gluten-free diet because it had been recommended to me as something that may help some people with Hashimoto's, he dismissed it, stating there was "no real science" behind it. Dr. Elhassan is supportive and listens during office visits. My husband's diabetes is better controlled now.
Dr elhassan is very thorough and caring. The staff is very kind I feel I am cared for with Dr El Hassan being very sensitive to medication cost for seniors
If I could give zero stars I would. If been with Dr. Elhassan for about 3 years after moving here. I feel like over this time I was not getting the care I needed. I had thyroid cancer in 2011 in Louisiana. My doctor had me on brand name Synthroid and Cytomel. Dr. Elhassan said I could take the generic and didn't need the Cytomel. I didn't question him. I was use to my Endocrinologist himself doing the ultrasound to check the thyroid bed. He doesn't. I've actually started with a new Endocrinologist and so far so good. He did ... read more
