On vacation in Detroit and renting a bike was an awful experience. No bikes available, stations to far apart, app not working and kiosk not working. As well as, customer service is email and not a real person.
Heyyy, I love the bikes . They are the best thing ever but I wish the company put more effort into having the e-bike available there like two good working ones in the whole city … DONT STOP WHAT YOUVE STARTED .. let’s go !
I’ve been using MoGo for the past month to get to work downtown from my apartment in midtown. it was really convenient until yesterday when - while I’m already running late for work - I guess the station had no electricity so I couldn’t unlock a bike…I called customer service and she told me the closest station which thankfully had a Boost bike and I made it to work on time. For $15, I bought a 3 day pass. Took 27 rides to Michigan Central, Fisher Building, Eastern Market, Comerica Park and downtown. Mogo stations were in most of the tourist locations. Highly recommend bike share as a way to get around this flat city, even in the heat and light rain. Best way to do a murals tour is on bikes. Don't miss the Dequindre Cut and Greenway to Michigan Central. Wished there were more e-bikes, but it really wasn't necessary.
