I recommend MoFitness as a great neighborhood gym. I live in the West 70s and have historically exercised at a gym near my apartment, but I tried this gym for the first time several months ago because my daughter plays sports nearby and I wanted to use her practice time to exercise myself. The staff at MoFitness is friendly and entrepreneurial in the best sense--they seem to have a vested interest in its success. They offer spot me on equipment. Morad is a great trainer, he is very professional and polite, yet he pushes you the right amount. I started training with him when my son was approaching a year old and I was ready to spend some time on myself and get stronger. It’s hard to get motivated with a full time job and a young baby, but Mo gave me a program of the right length and rigor and got me going to the gym regularly. I could feel myself getting stronger and more confident training with him.
Mo is the best personal trainer I’ve ever worked with. He tailors every workout to what I need. He pushes me the right amount and I’ve never felt better
