My first visit to Wilmington NC left a bad taste in my mouth, here's why, our family was try to figure out what to have for dinner and Googled BBQ, so this place Moe's Original BBQ came up, the reviews were amazing so off we go to the restaurant, once we arrived we decided to do take out since the place was very crowded, so I go over to the take out counter grab a menu and make my choices, then I smiled and say hello to the young women taking orders, she looks at me like I'm speaking a foreign language and with her lips tigh... read more

August 2026: Finally went back here to meet some clients for lunch and had the smoked chicken with mac&cheese and it was excellent. Place was packed. Still virtually no parking. They get upgraded to 5 stars. Neat little place, used to be Flips BBQ... decent menu, a tad pricey. I got a BBQ sandwich. Didn't see any sauces... asked for no slaw or pickles and got pickles anyway... BBQ was a little dry. May try again but wasn't overly impressed. Not a lot of parking.
