You cannot trust their estimate! After providing them with everything they needed for the most accurate estimate possible, they increased major costs to more than double without any justification. They claim to ‘work with you and keep you on budget every step of the way’. Clearly not, as I was never told of any change in costs until the drawings were done. We had a full interior and exterior renovation renovation completed by Modular, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. The whole team—Milan, Rahele, Deki, and Serge—were great to work with and made the process very smooth from start to finish. We completed a major renovation of our home near the beach, and I cannot recommend Modular Homes highly enough. We started with a 1-1/2 story house and transformed it into a full 2-story home by tearing down the top floor and rebuilding a significantly larger cantilevered second level. Modular Home Additions inc. You took 13,785.00 from a 70 year old lady living in Toronto. She signed your contract August 2019, but then realized she could not complete the deal before you started work because of Covid. So you kept her 13,000.00 deposit after completing less than 1 hr on an unacceptable paper sketch and not one minute spent working on site. Thirteen thousand dollars for 2 hrs of bad ideas. You cannot trust their estimate! I contracted them to build a second floor addition, and after supplying them with detailed CAD drawings, architectural plans of the existing house, and all the information they needed to provide the most accurate and realistic estimate possible, they later increased some of the biggest costs to MORE THAN DOUBLE what they had estimated.
