Dr Modry is a legend!
In 2002 I suffered an aortic dissection whilst driving the QE2 at 3am. Whilst being "red-lighted" to Edm University Hospital the paramedic informed me "God" (Dr Modry Head of Cardiology) was on duty that night (that was part of the "good news/bad news conversation whilst stretched out). Not many people survive dissections. His skill as a surgeon at that time is shown by my continued existence 23 years later. Gracias.
Dr. Modry is not only an incredibly accomplished doctor but also an exceptional human being. His contributions to heart surgery and transplants in Edmonton have saved countless lives, and his intelligence and compassion have left a lasting impact on everyone he has helped. Even in retirement, his legacy continues to inspire and benefit our community. We are truly grateful for his dedication and kindness!
