We tried out Modesto with a gift card and honestly didn’t expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and flavorful, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was really fun and welcoming. Our server, Peyton, truly made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. Easily one of the best servers we’ve had all of 2026. Got a to go order and apparently they ration you on the sopapillas. We had maybe 3 full ones in our to-go order. They were very tasty, but it’s not worth the money for how little you get of it.
I came to Modesto for Cinco de Mayo today. We had an AWESOME time with our server until an employee rudely came to my table and told me and my guests, who were first time patrons, that the seating time were two hours, which was understandable. HOWEVER, she says that “I understand you just got your food, but soon as you finish, you need to go.” I said “Well that was rude.” Then she walked off. This is our typical spot to grab dinner before LSU gymnastics meets. The happy hour is a great deal! We've enjoyed lots of margaritas, tacos, and enchiladas here. The vibes are good, but it does get quite noisy once the place fills up. Can't beat the location being so close to the PMac.
I have been here several times since I moved here. My husband tried it when he was working here prior to us relocating and raved about it. I was blown away by how good the food was! Each time our food has been great. Dining in or doing takeout, both have top notch service. Also, my 5 year old daughter is extremely picky about trying new things, but she "cannot resist" the tortilla chips here! The best part about being stuck in 5 o'clock traffic was us going to town on the bag of chips.
