I have had the pleasure of working with the MTBH Studios team on their development of their high quality homes. As someone who's job is to ensure that home are built to a Green Home Standard, I have found their designs, materials, and processes to be completely up to board. Beware! I will not go into my experiences for fear of retribution, and if you do your due diligence you may come to understand why I feel this way. I certainly wish I had done more due diligence on the legal history of MTBH before working with them. If you would like to do your own due diligence on a potential contractor such as "Modern Tampa Bay Homes" and "Richard McGinniss" aka "Richard McGinnis" you should do a complete search of publicly available information using these names. The Why: TBMH doesn’t create cookie cutter homes. These are interesting, high character homes with confident personalities. They are high end individualized products with clean finishes and stylized lines. If you are looking for a more traditional mold that is stamped on a plot of land in an endless sea of bland pastels and dull terra-cottas, then turn your gaze elsewhere. I was one of Richard's first builds in Tampa, 2012/2013 (Euclid Avenue). It was a pleasurable experience. I felt honored to live in the Home. He designed what no other builders could, true Master Pieces. He truly wanted to make his customers happy and build beautiful homes. He is and was a visionary leader in Modern Homes. I hope to build another home with him in the future! So happy to see he is still thriving.
