Popped in because I needed a minor fix to my glasses. They were very kind and fixed it for free. While I was there, I overheard a couple of conversations where the staff were clearly knowledgeable, listened to their customers, and very helpful.
Gary and all his staff are truly knowledgeable, courteous and fun! And a special shout-out to George who in an emergency, 'saved' the day and my sight' with replacing my broken glasses with a new frame in minutes. Always a joy to support this family optical business in my 'hood

Modern Optical is a family business that's been a Greektown staple for decades. Their service is absolutely fantastic - every member of the family is immensely knowledgeable, engaging and not just nodding "yes" to every pair of frames that one tries on. It's kinda like shopping for clothing at Holt Renfrow, but without the eye-popping prices.
