Shafia Nasirin was unprofessional and came across as rude and dismissive. I did not feel respected or properly heard as a patient. Communication is a fundamental part of good medical care, and unfortunately this experience fell well short. I would not return or recommend her to others.
I have had several incidents with Dr Feben now where I have gone in for something and all he has wanted to focus on was my weight. The first visit he told me that "You don't actually need food to live" then suggested I only eat one meal per five days. He was somehow surprised when my diabetes blood tests (the only ones he will actually send off for by the way) came back normal and he refuses to record my correct weight (which at the time was 98 kgs while he has it recorded as 129 kgs), even with photographic evidence. The facility overall is good. The reason for my 1-star review is because of Dr Savithri Fernando. This was the worst experience I’ve had with a doctor in Australia. She did not greet and was not welcoming at all. She had a very straight, unapproachable manner and did not explain what was wrong, she simply wrote a prescription. I had to ask questions myself to understand what the issue might be. There was little to no communication, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. It has been a weird experience. I gave them multiple chances but they always disappoint. I first went to Dr Feben in regards to a back injury but he did not even check properly, no scans and just advised bed rest and forced me to take work insurance because of which I ended up loosing my job because the employer thought I was faking my injury as I did not have any scans or medicines.
