Had damage from hurricane Harvey which prompted a backyard landscaping overhaul. Pedro worked with me to keep the budget as low as possible by completing all the major work which included installing a garden wall to level out my backyard followed by leveling out a truck load of soil and installing sod. His team also installed a long needed concrete patio and replaced most of my cedar fencing. I am giving this company 1 star cause I had to give something! I went with this company because they had good reviews. Bad mistake. I signed my contract 2nd week of March and they finally finished last week of May. This was maybe a two week job. I had new sod layed due to Harvey. They did not know difference in St Augustine for sun/shade until I told them. My quote said new soil but got none as they said the soil was fine but I got no price reduced. We hired Pedro to remove our old slate patio and replace with a cement slab patio and side walk. Pedro and his crew did an excellent job and we couldn't be happier with the results. Pedro was always on time, from the initial quote to finish. The only things that didn't want to cooperate were the weather and some sprinkler valves that the previous owner covered with the old patio; however, Pedro was able to work around the weather and did the job correctly by relocating the sprinkler valves. Pedro and his crew did an amazing job to our backyard! They made an ordinary backyard into our very own paradise! My husband, our three children, and myself spend much more time in our backyard than we ever have before! The knockout roses, raised flowerbeds, azaleas, flagstone patio, and bullrock along our garage did wonders! Pedro and his crew at Modern Landscape worked hard and cared about our needs and desires every step of the way! Very pleased with my choice!
