Something broke on my saddle. I sent Jeff the photos and he assured me that I can fix this. I followed his directions and it worked!!! Jeff is friendly, competent, and so generous with his help, eben via email. 5 stars for Jeff. Patricia
Unexpectedly horrible customer service. I'm traveling primarily for e-biking. I placed an order for an obscure wheel hub I need to get my bike running again. On Monday, Modern Bikes told me it would perhaps 90% probably arrive Friday. On Friday it hadn't arrived so I went to check tracking but discovered the order had been canceled due to my credit card having been flagged for "high risk of fraud" (never heard that before) and no one notified me that it was cancelled!!! This puts me at high risk of missing my wheel respoking... read more
Called about new pedals for my more complicated needs. Jeff gave be excellent advice about adjusting my current pedals before buying expensive new options. Really appreciate the sage advice. Hope to be in Des Moines some day to check out this bike shop.

Steve was very helpful! I placed an order that hadn't shipped after a few weeks. I called in, and Steve took care of me. He was very apologetic for the delay, and is ensuring my products get in the mail ASAP. Mistakes happen, but owning and addressing the mistake promptly makes things much better!
