The plus of this hotel is the interesting other guests, the owners who will go the extra step and the location. It could all do with a good spruce up outside - I was a bit dubious to start with, but the room was comfortable and the location meant I could walk to the Menil collection easily. The WiFi was reliable too.
Easy to check-in/out, nice breakfast, Lisa was helpful and efficient. Close to The Pit Room, a good place for Texan BBQ (try the brisket)
I almost always give restaurants or hotels five stars in rating as I appreciate people's hard work, BUT experience at this place was humbling. I almost could not check in as I arrived in the evening. I should have read more reviews of this place before I booked. Joke on me. Details below: No staff member was around when I arrived.
