Professional, courteous and prompt! We were a few hundred miles away from home when we had a leak in our truck. We were hoping to go home that night or the following day, but where do you find help on short notice on a Friday afternoon? Modern Automotive!!! It is tucked a bit out of the way, they immediately took at look at the truck, explained and showed what needed to be done and fixed it by the end of the day! Best Shop I Have Ever Been To! – I took my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Modern Automotive on recomendation from a good friend. The mechanics Brian and his son Colt were extreamly nice and had a more than resonable quote. I had a couple of exhaust leaks and needed a brake job and also transmission service. My car was finished before they said it would be and even came and picked me up from my house to drive me back to thier shop to get my car. I will never go back to another shop other than Modern Automotive!

Excellent Work and Customer Service I was referred to Modern Automotive by another single mom friend of mine who also takes her vehicles there. I have a 2000 VW Passat which I started taking to Brian after its warranty expired. I had taken it before to the VW shop in town, and simply couldn't afford to keep taking it there any more. I drive my car pretty hard, and as such it needs constant upkeep. tried to rip me off – I DO NOT recommend this mechanic or shop. The price quote I got for repairs was very high. The mechanic wanted to do work that was NOT needed, but told me was needed. I took my car to another shop which confirmed that all the work was not needed and the prices were inflated. But not before I was forced to pay for the estimate that was implied to be free and deal with a grumpy and bullish mechanic that didn't like the idea I was not suckered to pay him for the overpriced work. Worse mechanic ever used. Highest prices ever paid! – Worse mechanic I've ever used. Highest prices I've ever paid! Brian E. Lane is just after your money. He doesn't care about building a reputation for an honest mechanic in Kennewick, Washington. He will overcharge you, lie about hours worked, make up extra fees and basically rip you off every which way he can.
