We bought a Maytag washer & dryer from Modern Appliance ~3 years ago that was definitely a lemon—and the washer has broken three times under completely normal use. It's under warranty, and the repairs are "free," but it's costing us hundreds of dollars at the laundromat each time this happens. This is the worst local business to purchase appliances from. I purchased a $4700+ Speed Queen set from them and, within weeks, the dryer over heated and broke. Then the timing belt broke on the washer which then ripped out all the electrical while flailing about broken in the machine. Modern Appliance came back several times on service calls.
