Good product, horrible employees I've been to modern age several times and their products are excellent. However, the employees are very shady people and treat their customers with disrespect. I often hear the employees cursing very loudly on the phone with whomever they are speaking and have personally been kicked out and threatened for my life for saying an "illegal" word rather than just politely asking me to leave. In essence, what are great products with a team of rude people? A bad place to be.
Modern Age Tobacco & Gift Shop is Horrible! I've got nothing good to say about Modern Age! I went in recently and couldn't get help because the owner was screaming and cursing at someone on the phone, so i said to myself maybe it's a bad day to come in. Jerry is spinning in his grave - these people are rude. Insane. This place does not deserve to have the Grateful Dead decor and artwork all over the building. It should be painted a dark tinge of yellow like the "white" shirts they try to sell you for full price. Yellow nicotine-stained T-shirts for full price from employees who could care less if you shop there. Drop $100 in there and don't even get a F-you as you are leaving. Nothing. Rude. Lame. Not Kind. Jerry is probably turning over in his grave. The place sucks.
modern age whoa! what a great place! a head shop to beat all others! i always stop when i'm in town and bring my husband, they have a great supply of papers and greatful dead items to boot. gotta LUV this store!
+1 What the hell is wrong with you people? Modern Age is a very nice place to get all sorts of goodies. The employees are always very respectful and helpful, especialy the blonde girl who has always been very nice and helpful to me. Learn the lingo retard.
I love modern age Modern age was one of my first stopswhen I moved to Gainesville in 1998. I have since been a customer even though we started out on the wrong foot. I had a slip of the tongue and said something I shouldn't have. I must say I learned my lesson. There is always something new at modern age, their prices are unbeatable and the employees at both locatios are extremely helpful and knowledgable of their products. SPIKE I have been buying Djram Blacks in the Newberry Square store since it opened , & I've never , ever , seen nor heard any of the negitive things you negitive f-u-c-k-e-r-s seem to be talking about. You lost an easygoing customer who wanted to spend $300+ on Christmas gifts Very rude and disrespectful customer service will make me not go back there ever again. They think they are the only head shop in the world. I will shop somewhere else thank you. Poor poor management and shady employees.
