I generally don't write reviews but I really needed to for this one. I was excited to take myself out to dinner. A little much needed and overdue solo date. I did my research, since I wanted to try a new spot, and came across Moëca. The host saved a seat at the bar while I parked my car properly. You know Cambridge parking. Sat down, ordered a cocktail with Cynar, which I love, but it tasted like it was Cynar on the rocks and not a cocktail. If I had wanted straight Cynar I would have asked for it. Ryan should serve with a better attitude and give a more hospitable experience. It seemed like he was doing the bare minimum.
Overpriced - Baby portions I don't get the hype.. great ambience though
We've been meaning to check out Moeca and had really high hopes. First, the positive: our server was excellent - she was extremely friendly and helpful. The cocktails were inventive and tasty, and the wine pour was very generous. The atmosphere was also nice. For appetizers, the Maine uni brown bread was delicious, I loved the pairing of the maple better with the toasted bread and uni.
