Despite these negative reviews I have nothing but positive feedback for Mon Car Sales and their wonderful staff. John and all of his co workers have been brilliant with me. I bought a Citroen Ds3 in early October and have had no issues with it until this past week my suspension went as I was working and I was stranded on my own and luckily John and his co workers came and saved me and brought me a courtesy car. I had an appointment for my car’s engine service on Friday at 9 AM. I arrived 15 minutes early, but my car was only taken in after a 40-minute wait. While waiting, I was observing my car, which seemed to make the mechanic uncomfortable, as he asked me to wait in the office. He acted as if he were cooking in a private kitchen and didn’t want to be watched. However, the so-called 'office' was just a tiny 2m² space, and rainwater from the window got my back wet. The young guy here is lovely. Really very nice when we went out for a test drive. But the owner will patronise you. I knew exactly what car i was there to look at but first he tried to sell me something I had no interest in. Afterwards he tried to tell me I'd be stupid to look at a similar model car elsewhere, because he was on my doorstep. It's up to me where I buy my car from, and I'd prefer to get it from someone I feel a little less like I'm being treated as a mark. Needless to say I bought elsewhere.
Had the car for approximately 2 months. John put it through an mot. God knows who did the mot. A year later I take it for an mot. It had 12 major defects. The Car was on a ramp and I was shown how easy it was to push my fingers through the sills. I paid £1500 for the Car but a year later when I take it to the mot station it would cost £1300 or over to repair the major defects. 3 garages have told me the car is beyond economical repair.
