I rode in an MMT ambulance in July and the staff pulled over on the side of the highway instead of taking me to my destination, telling me that I could take over if I wanted. One of the drivers was physically aggressive with me, and I ended up deciding to get out and walk instead of staying with them. They called the police to take me into custody, and they allowed me to be handcuffed and driven away in a police car. So much for safe transport to the hospital.
