I hit a kangaroo and was so stressed about it. This has never happened to me before. My insurance company told me the steps I needed to do. I called MMCR and they said to bring it straight in. I did and they looked at it and told me the car was safe to drive but I couldn't use things like the air conditioner etc. I waited several weeks to bring my car in.
