I had Ellen Matyas as a Guardian ad litem in my divorce from 2021-2022. Despite being a high conflict divorce she prioritized making sure the children had 50/50 placement with both parents. There were some ups and downs, but my attorney was able to work with Ellen and get things done in the best interest of the children. Family court and GALs can be a nightmare for some people, however I feel Ellen is just in her work.
In 2024 I wanted to retire but I was paying $3100 per month in Maintance which was garnished from my paycheck. So I hired an attorney in May to get my maintenance reduced or eliminated I spent $5800 with first attorney who accomplished nothing so I fired him and was going to resolve it myself but it’s far to complicated.
