My mother was a patient there with pneumonia and her blood pressure was extremely high, they refused to get it down and she had a massive heart attack and died. I told them to get the BP down or she would end up having a heart attack or stroke but they didn't listen to me at all. I'm a nurse and I will NEVER go o that hospital even if my life depended on it. I will go to either Gainesville or Athens to the hospital
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I do not recommend this facility. I heard how it has gone downhill in recent years, and I figured perhaps the person warning me overly exaggerated. Wrong! I should have taken heed. This was the worst ER experience with a hospital I've ever had. The doctor was the most inept, confused, lazy, unprofessional I've ever met. How this person passed a state medical exam is beyond me! Well folks if you need to go to an emergency room don’t go by ambulance to this place because you will be walking home. I mean after telling them I’m seeing double and a headache I had to walk home. Stay away from this place period unless you like walking
