Phlebotomist’s are great but the woman at the front desk this evening was very rude! This website clearly states the lab is open until 5:30pm. I arrived at 4:47pm and was snapped at by a rude receptionist behind the desk and she let me know the lab closed at 5pm. 4 more individuals came in and she proceeded to be rude especially when she barked at an 80 year old women who mentioned it when she sat down next to me). Even though the sign directly outside the lab says they close at 5:30, even though my Michigan Medicine doctor specifically told me they close at 5:30, they do not. They close at 5pm now on Fridays. Least sympathetic / most unhelpful staff imaginable to add to the frustration!

Do Not Bring Your Toddler Here. When I requested someone experienced with pediatrics at check in, the next in-line technician at the front desk claimed all staff were equally trained. This trained technician then proceeded to butcher my baby’s arms with minutes of erratic needle poking on both sides that ultimately leads to nothing, no blood drawn.
