Wow, I think everyone should be paid for their time. But to charge a customer who has used you for Years (and charge a 80+yr old widow who unwittingly drove 45 min and see her trusted accountant) to give her a piece of paper that amounted to an unnecessary return and to consider his 30 min to be time billable at such an exorbitant rate. I am the DIL and know what local accountants charge and I know roughly what he charged last year to my MIL - he gave himself a 200%+ rate hike and I am unmeasurable disappointed. Lee has done our taxes for YEARS. He is very professional and ALWAYS gets the job done quickly and is always on point. Would never consider using someone else as long as he's in business. AND the bonus is that his charges are WAY lower than H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt.
