I've been to Japan a few times and this is the first sushi i've had that reminds me of eating sushi in Japan. We started the meal with the salad, which was well balanced and refreshing. Then moved on to the pickled mackrel roll, which was one of my favorite sushis i ate in Japan. A wonderful evening at Miyake. Superb nigiri, maki and hamayaki. In addition the sushi chef was a delight.
We asked to sit to the furthest corner at sushi counter for the quiet evening on a date night. The specials for the night were small Japanese crabs and o toro chirashi. We chose the Japanese crabs as appetizer along with marinated tuna and avocados. The special sushi rolls with Japanese snappers and king salmons were just great.
