A wonderful evening at Miyake. Superb nigiri, maki and hamayaki. In addition the sushi chef was a delight.
We asked to sit to the furthest corner at sushi counter for the quiet evening on a date night. The specials for the night were small Japanese crabs and o toro chirashi. We chose the Japanese crabs as appetizer along with marinated tuna and avocados. The special sushi rolls with Japanese snappers and king salmons were just great. Delicious and friendly staff. Best omakase nigiri and sushi place in New England!
First time in the Greater Portland area and Miyake was highly recommended. I was initially hesitant because I'm a non sushi eater but they have a few other options with chicken, duck and seafood to consider. Fresh food, seasoned extremely well!! Wonderful hostess and wait staff in am excellent location. My partner who lived in Japan stated that the sushi was excellent!! Looking forward to returning.
