This place sucks. The staff don't know how to do their jobs overnight staff are rude and don't listen the food is worse then school food they don't let you bring more than a backpack of clothes you can't bring outside food or drinks. stupid stuff that doesn't makes sense to be doing it's like watching toddlers try and run their own daycare I just want my plush bunny and I can't even bring that
This place will give you breakfast and dinner, receive mail, a free phone, laundry. But a few jerks work here and will push your buttons about things.
In my experience Mitch’s place harbors men “on the registry” and gives them unfettered access to vulnerable women AND children. I have reported this shelter to the National Human Trafficking Hotline and encourage anyone else victimized by Emmaus to do the same. St. Patrick’s in Somerville is MUCH safer for people identifying as female/nonbinary. Stay safe!
