I had a serious blond moment yesterday morning and left my oil cap off after filling the basin (I have worn piston rings) so naturally I lost it on the drive, along with all my freshly applied oil. I happened to be near Forestburg when I discovered this and pulled into Mitchs shop to see what could be done until I could order a new cap. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly, and beyond helpful. He was so understanding of my situation and I am vefy grateful for it. My recent experience with Mitches Mechanical was deeply unsatisfactory. Scheduling was difficult, punctuality was lacking, and the technician seemed incompetent, resorting to guesswork rather than proper diagnosis. The quality of work was poor, with the issue unresolved and new problems arising. Pricing was exorbitant for such subpar service. I strongly advise avoiding Mitches Mechanical for automotive repairs.
This place is just bad. They will quote you for things you don't even need. They will order the wrong parts and forget to tell you so you drive in for nothing.
