My husband (who doesn’t have a gmail account 😊) just wanted to comment about one of the best doctors in the Richmond, VA area, or as far as he is concerned, the United States of America! Dr Richard Mitchell has been his GI doctor for close to 20 years. His bedside manner is impeccable, he listens, understands and shows that he cares. What a rarity in a doctor in today’s time. Dr. Richard Mitchell has been my GI for a handful of years. He genuinely cares about what you have to say and is aware of the insanity of insurance, and explains his thought process (and why) to everything he does and suggests. Highly recommend.
Dr. Smallfield and the staff at Mitchell Endoscopy literally changed my life. In only two visits (one procedure), I had a diagnosis for gastro issues that had been going on for years. With a change in diet and a new medication, I feel wonderful and my long-lost energy has returned! My abdomen is no longer swollen or tender. I am amazed at the difference. And in the process, they made me feel like I mattered. I highly recommend this practice. Shout-out to Erin Ferrell, as well!
Well oiled machine. Spectacular staff. I work in healthcare and I so appreciated their empathy.
I never write reviews but the receptionist is extremely rude. There’s a difference between having nerves and having actual anxiety about something and I’m not looking forward for my procedure since I know she is the first person I will have to talk to. I’ll probably have a panic attack and have to leave because she is the least sympathetic person I’ve ever spoken to on the phone and I don’t think this profession suits her. The rating is nothing against Dr. Mitchell.
