A lot of the reviewers here will write bad things because Dr. Mitchell's work usually creates a bias and if you like what she does you would be happy and probably wouldn't say much or if you were on the short end of her work then you'll give her a 1 star. I'm going to give you the most honest review of her work. I was part of an evaluation which I know was quite one-sided in my favor. I was very doubtful that a 730 evaluation would be a good idea for my children to go through. I felt like they had been through enough with me ex trying to convince them that I was a terrible and no one believing me when I tried to defend myself. Even my children were beginning to doubt me. Dr. Mitchell did the evaluation for custody between my ex wife and myself. Our daughter was extremely comfortable with Dr. Mitchell who made this nightmare of a situation as easy as it could be. And if you knew my ex wife, you would not believe that to be possible. I hope to never have to recommend a therapist for another father going through what I did but in case this happen to you you'll be glad you picked Dr. Mitchell.

Thank God for I just finished a lengthy custody battle (it was bloody) with my ex-spouse and couldn't be happier. I use the ex-spouse begrudgingly as I wish there was a better word to convey my contempt for the man but I do recognize I'm the one that chose to marry him at some point or another. We all have our moments. Dr. Mitchell was recommended by my attorney and by the Judge. I am a fellow mental health professional and have Dr. Mitchell for over 10 years and I am very familiar with her work as a custody evaluator.My colleagues and I consider her to be extremely thorough and ethical. In short she does outstanding work. I recommend her without any reseverations.

My ex-spouse and I agreed on Marjorie Mitchell to do our custody evaluation after consulting a number of other recommended evaluators. I had heard horror stories about these custody battles and I was not looking forward to placing my children under more scrutiny and emotional strain however Marjorie Mitchell was surprisingly wonderful thorough out the entire process.
