We have been in our Mitchell Home now for 5 years; and in these 5 years we’ve had more problems with this house than we had in our old 25 year old house. So many things weren’t right from the start, but as first time home builders, we didn’t know any different. Things the site manager said he’d come back and fix, that he never did. We highly recommend Mitchell Homes for building single-family homes. They built our custom home in Northern Virginia, and we are very satisfied with the experience. Their pricing is clear, with several reasonable floor plans. You only pay extra if you make changes, and most standard features are of good quality. We especially want to thank Tina DuBrule and Lloyd Jett for their exceptional support; Lloyd was particularly helpful throughout the construction process.
I have tons of pictures and documentation showing the lack of quality and supervision from Mitchell Homes. It’s been a year since our home was built and we are still trying to have many things warrantied. You will have to supervise the building process the entire time and will most likely still end up with various problems.
