Great tour...
What an incredible experience. Have travelled the MR for years and have never stopped here. The tour cost $20 and took two hours. It was packed full of history and great tidbits. The cavern itself was incredible. Its def a must see.
This is a beautiful cave. Our guide, Wilim, was the perfect mix of humor and information. He helped everyone see the beauty of the formations and the history on the cave formation. It was more than we expected. A wonderful experience
The second most isolated California state park, after Bodie. This cave is worth the effort to get there. They take reservations as the tour groups are small, and they do 2 tours at most per day. Mitchell is the driest limestone cave we have been in, no surprise considering the location. Some really cool formations. The guide we had was great.
Super interesting spot - well worth the journey to get here. Definitely reserve a tour spot in advance.
