About this business

Mistral Kitchen is the second venture of Seattle chef and restaurateur William Belickis. The restaurant serves a wide variety of globally-inspired cuisine along with craft cocktails and fine wines. Belickis designed Mistral Kitchen for a diverse clientele—from the after work crowd looking for a quick drink and snack to groups of diners hoping to make memories that will last a lifetime. We serve a casual ala carte menu in the main dining room and feature tasting menus in the fine dining Jewel Box. Chef's table is also a... read more

Very disappointing – My friends and I were looking forward to a lovely New Year's Eve dinner at Mistral Kitchen's Jewel Box and were so disappointed with the experience. Although some of the food was quite good - the black eyed peas with perfectly soft boiled egg and braised pork belly were delicious, other dishes were just not good. None of us could finish our portion of musky lamb...and our drinks from the bar were poorly made. The food would have brought me back to try again; however, the service was TERRIBLE! Our water g... read more

Just So-So – Our brunch group (5 people this time) was meeting there but it was a little hard to find because the sign was not very noticeable. The staff was very patient because a couple of our group were late. The menu is very limited and there's not alot of substance in any of the selections. The bacon is small & paper thin. We expected to get all our meals together but the last person to arrive placed her order 15 mins after the rest of us and she got hers first! They gave my side to someone else. They explained it but I... read more

$4 CAN of Diet Coke – I just dined at Mistral Kitchen for Restaurant Week and while the food was decent (not great) the experience was ruined when the bill came and the CAN of Diet Coke was $4!!! I even asked if it was correct. Yep, $4 for a single can of Diet Coke. My friend in NYC verified that's an outrageous price even by NY standards. I will never eat there again purely on principal.

Fantastic cocktails and happy hour – I'm eager to try a full-on meal here, but until my birthday rolls around, happy hour is a great way to enjoy the drinks and a hint of what Mistral is capable of in the kitchen. The cocktails span from light and summery to dark and smoky, each one meticulously crafted and balanced. I think the bar program rivals those at specialty cocktail spots like Knee High and Tavern Law. I also appreciate that happy hour knocks a few bucks off the fancy list, and offers a few house drinks at a reasona... read more

Deliciousness --- at a price – A night out at Mistral Kitchen wasn't easy on the pocket book, but our tastebuds were content. The limited selection menu (with a whole bunch of things that we had to ask our waiter to interpret) had some interesting offerings. We all loved the hamachi krudo and our entrees (pork shoulder, a single sea scallop) were tasty. Portions were small and a bit overpriced. The side potatoes were the biggest hit of all. If you like butter (and really who doesn't?), these are a definite item to add to you... read more

Mediocre Venue – Even though we had made a reservation well in advance, we were offered the worst and smallest table of the restaurant right in front of the reception area. The menu is very limited and not categorized, which makes it difficult to order. The food is overpriced and portions are small. The execution was acceptable but the meat especially was flavorless and dry. We spent $120 for one appetizer, two of the cheapest entrees and one half size bottle of the cheapest sake. Only the sake was actually worth of praise. ... read more
