We brought our car in to diagnose a vibration while driving and mentioned that tires might be an issue. After inspecting the car, we were told the tires were “fine” and that the only issue was front brakes, which we were charged $1,100 to replace. After picking up the car and driving on the freeway, the vibration was still present. I previously worked at Volkswagen/Audi as a technician for two years. I brought my 2019 Audi A6 to this shop for a simple diagnosis because I no longer have time to do the work myself. I explained that the car had a slight vibration and could be due to tires or possibly a wheel bearing, and asked them to identify the cause. They told me the issue was the front brakes.
