Nearly had a heart attack when my misses came home to tell me it was nearly $60 to change battery's in her Mazda cx-5 key fob. The batteries are at most $8 each, and to change the battery is quite literally a 3 minute job, so that's $16 in batteries, and roughly $52 in "labour" for 6 minutes of total work, that's an hourly rate of $520. Last time I'll ever send my partner to go get a battery from a local business to give them a bit of support in these tough times, next time I'll purchase them on Amazon and so it myself. The man running this business is rude and kept us waiting for ages. When we came back at his suggested time, he'd gone for a break. 20 minutes later he started our job. Charged $60 for 6 keys. The exact same job cost $36 at Bunnings the following week. So rude, slow and a rip off.
