We bring our dog Claire here and she seems to like it more than we do.
Popular spot for fishing, many trails. Wonderful easy cross-country skiing in the winter. Easy access to lots of nature space, a kind of near-urban wilderness. The visitor center is a great resource for gear rentals and learning about the local ecosystem — remodeled in 2025!
It’s a big, fun park with great bird watching and picnic areas.
