One of my favorite hikes in the bay area, few takeaways: 1. One of the few hikes that remains open more than 1 hour post sunset. 2. Trail from stanford staging area is shorter (around 6 miles both ways) as compared to Ohlone College (around 7 miles both ways), but also steeper. 3. Limited parking by the trailhead, but lots of street parking nearby at Vineyard Ave. 4. One of my favorite places to watch the sunset or the moonrise. 5. Medium intensity hike. About 1:40 to go up and an hour to come down. Parking can be a challenge but not bad.
