The hike from the Stanford Avenue staging area to the summit is just over 3 miles with approximately 2,110 feet of elevation gain. It’s a challenging climb, especially on hot days, since there’s very little shade along the trail. Bring plenty of water, wear a hat, and start early if you can to avoid the midday heat.
Very long, Would not recommend to children under 12 if they have 0 experience, Bring LOTS of water.Also very hot in summer and I recommend a cloudy day during the summer but any day is good other than that but bring sunblock and a hat. Also during busy hours parking is scarce so plan accordingly.
