Dr Reid Taylor 1. Stated to a stroke patient that he was not a stroke specialist- yet proceeded to attend to her. 2. 18 hrs after her stroke- stated to the patient’s face that she would likely not recover to be able to function as she had previously. Dr. Taylor was my mother’s neurohospitalist and neurologist at Mission Health following a stroke that occurred as a result of a heart procedure she had at the hospital. Despite having significant general aphasia and the inability to speak and comprehend language, Dr. Taylor dismissed her as a patient after the first couple of days. My mother was at Mission Health for over two weeks with little to no neurological care during that time.
