This was my third time at Mishta, and I think that says a lot about how much I enjoy this restaurant. This time, I brought a very special friend because I wanted them to experience what I’ve come to love about Mishta. Once again, the food was absolutely delicious! I had high expectations based on my reservation experience, but unfortunately the visit was disappointing from start to finish. I booked through Resy and even called the restaurant the morning of our reservation to confirm that bringing our two small children would be okay. I was told it wouldn’t be an issue. However, when we arrived, despite the restaurant being almost completely empty (only one other table was occupied), we were seated in the corner instead of being offered a more comfortable table. We chose this restaurant to celebrate a milestone birthday, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. A large number of menu items were unavailable, even though the restaurant was far from busy—it was a Friday around 8:00 PM with only a couple of other occupied tables. Since the staff knew we were celebrating a birthday, it would have been courteous to call ahead and let us know about the limited menu so we could have decided whether to keep our reservation.
