Long time patient
Dr. Farivar saved my life! He convinced me that despite my seemingly healthy state, that bradycardia (slow heart beat) indicated that my heart beat was dangerously low. He performed several tests and reviewed the results with me. It became clear that a pacemaker implantation was necessary. He referred me to a specialist who performed the operation, and now, six months later, I feel great and not limited in my activities. I continue to follow up with him and trust him implicitly.
my spouse is his patient. Dr. F is not at the NIX since it is closed down. Dr. F saw him for an annual visit and ordered tests. His office followed up with scheduling at hospital. Dr. F called the afternoon after the tests and explained the outcome--good news and scheduled a followup appointment. I went with my spouse for the appointment. Dr. F explained the significance of the prior tests and discussed carotid issues and PAD and what could or could not be done about these.
I saw Dr F in the Recovery room after surgery when I developed chest pain. He ordered further tests and kept me overnight for observation. He is a very busy man but was concise, easy to understand and followed through with everything he had said he would do. The test results were put in laymen's terms and I felt at ease with each word. I wish he had a private practice!
Excellent in all respects.
My experience was horrible. You know how they say first impression is the last impression. I had an appointment for 9:30 I arrived at 9:10. The call me to the back at 9:30. Another patient arrives at 9:45 to the patient holding cell a.k.a room. I happened to see the patient so I say ok. I had by this time been waiting 30 minutes. Nurse said he is 5 minutes away. I say ok. Next thing u know a hour later I hear a mans voice and come to find out he seen that patient that was after me first. Smh.
